Senior Buyer/Purchaser

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer/Purchaser to join our Group Purchasing team based in Prague. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring technical components related to production projects across our facilities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria.

 

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Technical department to understand upcoming projects and required technical components

• Source, evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers for technical components (based on technical specification provided by Group Technical department or Maintanence departments at Production Plants)

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal value for the company

• Create purchase orders and manage timely delivery of parts/comonents per project timelines

• Continuously analyze spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

• Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on supplier capabilities and industry trends

• Travel to production facilities as needed to evaluate on-site needs and supply chain issues

• Manage supplier contracts, including negotiation, compliance monitoring, and renewal

 

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in procurement/buying, preferably in an industrial production environment

• Existing relationships with suppliers of technical components, spare parts is an advantage

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills

• Technical aptitude and ability to partner with engineering teams

• SAP experience is an advantage

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Technical University degree is a must

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Czech or other regional languages a plus
